Raul Brizuela

Raul Brizuela serves as a strategic advisor to Spur Ridge Capital, bringing over 30 years of experience building, operating, and investing in healthcare and medical device companies. Raul provides guidance on operational scale, strategic growth, and value creation, particularly within regulated industries.
Raul is the former CEO of Argentum Medical, a market leader in infection prevention solutions. He assumed the role after founding a medical device incubator that acquired Argentum in 2012 and led the company through a decade of innovation and growth. Following Argentum’s acquisition by BioDerm in 2023, Raul became CEO of Bravida Medical, where he continues to advance technologies that improve patient care.
Earlier in his career, Raul was an executive and investor at Taut, a provider of laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical solutions, which was acquired by Teleflex in 2006.
Raul studied International Business at Bradley University and is based in Chicago. Outside the office, he is a proud husband and father. Raul is also deeply engaged in his community, having served as president of the education commission for Saint Patrick Catholic School and as a member of the steering committee for the $20 million capital campaign at Saint Patrick Parish.
