Layton Rogers is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Spur Ridge Capital. Prior to founding Spur Ridge, Layton was an investor at Mountaingate Capital, a Denver-based private equity firm. During his time at Mountaingate, he was directly involved in organic growth initiatives and M&A transactions within the portfolio companies. Working closely with the founders and executive teams, Layton developed a passion for scaling companies at the operational level and accelerating growth through M&A. With a passion for founder-owned businesses, he is a strong believer in culture and cultivating growth-orientated management teams. Prior to his time at Mountaingate, Layton was an associate at Piper Sandler in the Medical Technology Investment Banking group, working on public and private M&A, equity and debt transactions. Layton is a graduate from Texas Christian University and currently resides in Golden, Colorado with his wife, two dogs and two horses.
